What makes Kashiwaya Ryokan special?

When visiting Japan, staying at a Ryokan (a traditional Japanese inn) is a wonderful experience that you don’t want to miss.

But there are so many Ryokan to choose from! In this post, I will explain how Kashiwaya Ryokan is the perfect place for foreign visitors to experience this part of Japanese culture.

English Speaking Staff

At Kashiwaya Ryokan, several of our staff members are proficient in English. From navigating transportation to and from our inn, to explaining our delicious meals, we can communicate smoothly and help make your stay as comfortable as possible. We even have native speakers among our staff!

Vegan Meals

Kashiwaya is one of the few Ryokan in Japan that offer vegan meals. We pride ourselves in being able to accommodate your diet with meals that are both delicious and authentically Japanese. We use a wide variety of locally sourced ingredients to make you a meal that is sure to be a highlight of your trip.

Tattoo Friendly Onsen-Hot Springs

The majority of onsen (hot springs) in Japan, including those in Shima Onsen, do not accept people with tattoos. At Kashiwaya Ryokan, however, we allow tattoos in our baths! We have public baths, as well as private baths for you to relax in.

We hope to see you soon!
